The new, exciting, 9,500 sq. ft. IvyMax Millbrae/San Francisco Center has opened! With a sizeable parking lot, it is conveniently located across the street from the BART station in Millbrae, a block from 101 off Millbrae Avenue, and a quick drive from SF. We welcome very much for students, parents, and friends to visit us!

Happy Chinese New Year of the Rabbit! The 01/2011 IvyMax Insider Newsletter includes a reminder of the upcoming AMC 10/12 Contests on Feb 8th or 23rd, 2011. To Stanford University Provost Emeritus Professor Bill Miller: An Essay on Shared Values and Friendship

Professor Bill Miller, Stanford University Provost Emeritus and IvyMax Senior Advisor, enjoyed his surprise birthday party amongst close friends at his former lovely home in Stanford on November 17, 2010. Stanford University’s current Provost Dr. John Etchemendy and Associate Dean of Research Emerita Pat Devaney hosted this wonderful private event. As a longstanding friend of Professor Miller, IvyMax Co-Founder Jason Ma was privileged to attend this gathering and presented an essay to Professor Miller. Three IvyMax Students Score a Perfect 2400 on the SAT Reasoning Test in October 2010

Congratulations to the three IvyMax students — Albert Li from our Cupertino Center and Michael P. and Roger H. from our Pleasanton Center — who scored a perfect 2400 on the SAT Reasoning Test (“SAT I”) in October 2010! Only about 0.01% of all SAT takers achieved this coveted level of academic prowess. And congratulations to the numerous IvyMax students who enhanced their academic performance by scoring high or by improving dramatically their SAT I scores! See our High Scores page. IvyMax at Forbes’ Flagship Annual Event, September 28-29, 2010: An Essay on Leadership

“Full Sail Ahead!” Positive feelings energized everyone at the exclusive 2010 Forbes Global CEO Conference held in Sydney, Australia, September 28-29. This unique gathering focused on world business leaders’ determination to go “full sail ahead” in search of new growth opportunities in volatile times. The panels examined the ways in which CEOs are thriving on adversity and identifying opportunities. The sessions also featured in-depth discussions on social responsibility and philanthropy, human capital, and leadership. We envision major economic recovery in the years ahead and worldwide growth opportunities are abundant for entrepreneurs. As IvyMax helps train and develop future leaders, I would like to highlight some of what I’ve learned.

Forbes: Releases Latest List of America’s Best Colleges

The best college in America isn’t in Cambridge or Princeton, West Point or Annapolis. It’s nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. Williams College, a 217-year-old private liberal arts school, tops our third annual ranking of America’s Best Colleges. Our list of more than 600 undergraduate institutions is based on the quality of the education they provide, the experiences of the students and how much they achieve.

US News and World Report: Releases List of Best Colleges 2011

This year, Harvard University regained sole possession of the top spot in US News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2011 rankings of national universities. Last year, Harvard and Princeton University tied for first, but Princeton fell to second in the 2011 rankings of these large, research-oriented institutions. Williams College can once again boast that it’s the nation’s top-ranked national liberal arts college—a category of schools that place a higher emphasis on undergraduate education—as it ranked a spot ahead of fellow Massachusetts liberal arts school Amherst College for the second consecutive year.
